Friends of Heart Hosts First CARE Team Trainings For 4-Minute City Program

Join Friends of Heart, a fund of the Foundation, as we kick off our first round of training for the CARE (Cardiac Arrest Rapid Engagement) Team for Jackson’s 4-Minute City Program! Individuals from across the city will come together over the next three days to learn about the program, the new smart AED technology, and next steps/timeline. They will also receive hands-only CPR training from the Jackson Fire Department.

AED Donated to Reelfoot Youth Camp & Retreat Center

We were honored to present Reelfoot Youth Camp & Retreat Center with an AED. This fantastic facility in Hornbeak, TN can have up to 100 students on site during the summer months, and we are glad to make sure they have what they need in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. 1st Annual Friends of Heart 5k

Our goal for the 5k was to have 50 runner's sign-up. I thought that would be a good start for our 1st annual 5k. Wow is all I can say we doubled that goal and raised over $6,000.00 at this event! This could not have been possible without our sponsors Simons Bank, Patriot Equity, Arrington Funeral Directors, Avive Solutions, Arthur Priddy at Farmers Insurance, Roberts Jewelers who also donated the age group awards, MockingBird Threadworks who also made our great looking Sweatshirts!! Thank you to Danny at Fleet Feet for pulling this all together it was truly a well-organized run and great route! All the volunteers from the Jackson roadrunners as well as the nursing students from Lambuth!! Great Event! Local Dollars doing Local Work!!
